We found out the gender of our baby this morning. I was so sure it was a boy because of how different this pregnancy has been but nope, "Surprise mom and dad I'm a girl!" Hurray!
I must admit I'm a little relieved. I know that every kid is different but there has to be at least some familiarity in having a girl compared to a boy. Also, with just taking on the responsibility of a house it's comforting to know that we won't really need to buy new clothes and things which can be a big expense. A couple people have asked me if Zach is disappointed about not having a boy, no my darling husband is not afraid of being out numbered at our house. He did say if we had a bunch of girls and this was our last try for a boy he might be a little disappointed but just a little. I'm sure May is going to love having a little sister to dress up and play princess with and...maybe boss around a little. ;)
Everything looks really great. If you have talked to me in the last 20 weeks you will know that I am having some serious back pain. We found out today that it's because of where baby girl is sitting (which I kind of already assumed). But I also found out that it's actually a really good thing. I had a c-section with May and I guess if the baby grows close to the scar the placenta can attach to it and there can be some big problems.
We're excited!
