We had an awesome busy December. Among a myriad of other things we had my birthday. Zach spoiled me all day and threw me a surprise party with our family. What a sweetheart. </div><div style="text-align: center;">We also celebrated our 5th anniversary. I remember when we were married for like 3 months and 5 years seemed so far away- it has hardly been any time at all! We celebrated by leaving the girls with my mom and dad and spending the night at the Grand America. We had breakfast at The Little America- so yummy. Zach met Santa there. It was a nice little get away.</div><img src="https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=33e2ebbf6b&view=att&th=134cedce920190be&attid=0.1&disp=thd&realattid=1390747844244960480-1&zw" alt="2011-12-17_07-52-19_101.jpg" /><div>We also went to the Winter Princess Festival at the Provo Towne Centre. May acted terrified the entire time but afterwards talked about it like it was the best thing ever. She was most excited to see the princesses she had seen in the summer so that was cute that she remembered them and wanted to say hi.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_dDDqNXH8NquylWqakp0J8dIIvTwpMnOB3m7eI7HwgYGdhNOUb1P4-bTlRqoiLcW8vfMFYYzmTHk5qYdYJLJDcS3yPunKjWdzNT3Q7hnETT-DiIJ-z9VF_BC3j35Sd6TwzE2snYMseaWy/s1600/DSC_0023.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_dDDqNXH8NquylWqakp0J8dIIvTwpMnOB3m7eI7HwgYGdhNOUb1P4-bTlRqoiLcW8vfMFYYzmTHk5qYdYJLJDcS3yPunKjWdzNT3Q7hnETT-DiIJ-z9VF_BC3j35Sd6TwzE2snYMseaWy/s320/DSC_0023.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696505250652288786" /></a><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span><u><br /></u></span></div>We haven't had a ton of snow. The first snow we had we shoveled it all into a pile and built a snowman and a snow dog. Maylie was SO concerned about them it was so cute. She made him a scarf out of leaves so he wouldn't get cold and she had to make him snow food so he wouldn't get hungry. Every morning she would run and peak out the window and see if he was still there. I was a little worried about what would happen when it melted but she just said, "Oh the snowman melted." And started singing "Once there was a snowman" and that was it. She did have a melt down (ha melt down) when a snow storm hit after Christmas and she thought we could put our Christmas stuff back up. She was absolutely devastated when we told her snow didn't necessarily mean Christmas.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDHR4r-cDbfxWHOvDKdu_rcaZcJiQ3oOsRsoZ4foL6-bu8YIRYWxdQH4uLpkl9XkdCy5YzL9MJyq4Sz0cIw2jlX9oZjSHjO-U3zjU9S2jXMtxkcHFKx5aT7P8YSDvpFVWyhR8q-FCX4Ru6/s1600/2011-12-13_13-45-11_823.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDHR4r-cDbfxWHOvDKdu_rcaZcJiQ3oOsRsoZ4foL6-bu8YIRYWxdQH4uLpkl9XkdCy5YzL9MJyq4Sz0cIw2jlX9oZjSHjO-U3zjU9S2jXMtxkcHFKx5aT7P8YSDvpFVWyhR8q-FCX4Ru6/s320/2011-12-13_13-45-11_823.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696505231325295810" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">We had a wonderfully relaxing Christmas. We told all of our family that we weren't going anywhere this Christmas so we could just enjoy it. We definitely did. We opened presents, went to a nice sacrament meeting then we came home and chilled and the best present ever- Mama got a nap. Then my family came over to our house and we had a nice Christmas dinner. </div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Maylie had to change into her soccer shirt before she would open presents because Zach was wearing his. I'm not really sure what to do with it now though, we'll have to get a glass case or something to display it in.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_dDDqNXH8NquylWqakp0J8dIIvTwpMnOB3m7eI7HwgYGdhNOUb1P4-bTlRqoiLcW8vfMFYYzmTHk5qYdYJLJDcS3yPunKjWdzNT3Q7hnETT-DiIJ-z9VF_BC3j35Sd6TwzE2snYMseaWy/s1600/DSC_0023.JPG"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_pFrgaOby35Cyn6eAwwmrewnxHBENM4bt260WU0etZLooXo4VV_BOdPNB7iwAzlMFEYNkFjdm7BS9SMsuyd26KcrfQiecWwc-enWbLdp8YZyls7mcdp-XW1pPNHqH1j792XgJ6XNcLp0h/s320/2012-01-06_12-59-37_757.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696514491867376498" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 180px; height: 320px; " /></a></div><div>Camille also hit her 9 month mark in December. She is our feel good girl. She has a smile that can just melt any problem away. She gives lots of snuggles and hugs. She loves music. She already has this little rocking dance move. It's too funny. If she is being fussy about going to sleep she will calm right down if you start singing to her. She LOVES her food. She out eats Maylie at just about every meal. And I'm not talking like a pound to ounce ratio she seriously will eat more than Maylie. </div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span><u><br /></u></span><br /></div></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-7101215461481567472011-11-06T20:14:00.000-08:002011-11-06T20:34:51.883-08:00HalloweenSo, I started Halloween costumes back in July. The girls were going to be the good fairies from Sleeping Beauty and their cousin was going to be Aurora. Well I picked terrible material for Maylie's. It looked terrible it was a little small and after hearing me curse at it for 2 months May didn't want to wear it. So we came up with plan B 2 days before Halloween. I had some Strawberry Shortcake material with no real plan for it so we made a costume. The awesome hat is courtesy of my mom finding one for her. Maylie was super excited to be Strawberry so it all worked out. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqlX9w3wGgmpcOCjj3Kthe7DRQMvQwTs__BGmskwJAbzv6IPZ45sTY14bilAtMaTPifZ6pmnWVZOwMp2sYnw5JreUrIGI1FllKqQy7boJlecb-tAlv1oED7bZNZpa-HvqLUZSh0q8LCZ4H/s1600/DSC_0363.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgotN_9gNrL5E_cyFZRLDDXF-CtvKwmlVpYqwEF32Z43XBNaBFQhfeXdcTno22OHAQPvBSrxozjem0HFQWxsxW2DxMPtuG_bw2_U-POUSHIYV4NjXF-bIsYKlA-VbR4mfXZIh7OxvJiwJgZ/s320/DSC_0357.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5672103169392946162" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px; " /></a>Then came the problem with Camilles. She would be in the stroller so she couldn't wear her wings and she had her helmet so she couldn't wear her hat which left her in a blue dress that would be covered with a blanket. So on Halloween I put this together. She's a Berrykin which you won't know unless you've seen the new version of Strawberry Shortcake. It worked out pretty perfect with her helmet and put her in nice warm Jammies.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqlX9w3wGgmpcOCjj3Kthe7DRQMvQwTs__BGmskwJAbzv6IPZ45sTY14bilAtMaTPifZ6pmnWVZOwMp2sYnw5JreUrIGI1FllKqQy7boJlecb-tAlv1oED7bZNZpa-HvqLUZSh0q8LCZ4H/s1600/DSC_0363.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqlX9w3wGgmpcOCjj3Kthe7DRQMvQwTs__BGmskwJAbzv6IPZ45sTY14bilAtMaTPifZ6pmnWVZOwMp2sYnw5JreUrIGI1FllKqQy7boJlecb-tAlv1oED7bZNZpa-HvqLUZSh0q8LCZ4H/s320/DSC_0363.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5672103171961481634" /></a><div>Maylie had a blast trick or treating. The best was when we ran into another Strawberry and Maylie says, "Hey, you're like me! You better get some candy too. You look sooo wonderful." Camille was a trooper put up with riding in the stroller for a while but was done by the time Zach picked her up and took her back to her cousins.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-15905650072396772482011-11-06T19:33:00.000-08:002011-11-07T15:51:27.403-08:00Maylie is 3!My baby is suddenly a little girl! Ahh! I just hate it and love it all at the same time. We had a fun birthday. She pretty much eat and sleeps My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake so she had a pony birthday. We decided instead of throwing a huge party like last year we would put the funds to use for balloons and streamers. We took pictures but seriously did not do it justice. So you will just have to take my word that the house was awesomely decorated and May loved it. <div>In the morning she opened her presents most of it My Little Pony stuff. In this picture she is sporting a new dress that Zach's mom sent her. She had a hard time blowing out her candles in the morning but the practice did her good because she got them later that night. </div><div>In the afternoon we picked Zach up at work and went to lunch and Nicklemannia. Her and Zach just love that place. I seriously just don't get it.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj72i9xG2XpR0YrO2Qm1CPAKAACQv06v3AzwXr8BKwlJvhyphenhyphen1Sr4eNEnyQ58Y9N5SYU_V8g_yU-E0YsM9AADxJ53XXKeDhQ-xrAUACzYNd63wXP7xWod3rc5ysr82-dK0MM1hh2_eBBE-rul/s1600/DSC_0292.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj72i9xG2XpR0YrO2Qm1CPAKAACQv06v3AzwXr8BKwlJvhyphenhyphen1Sr4eNEnyQ58Y9N5SYU_V8g_yU-E0YsM9AADxJ53XXKeDhQ-xrAUACzYNd63wXP7xWod3rc5ysr82-dK0MM1hh2_eBBE-rul/s320/DSC_0292.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5672094435566455826" /></a>Anyway we had a little party Including Pin the cutie mark on the pony (it came with our decor)<span class="Apple-style-span">.</span><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Q404dUK9hYKuT1Wr8PmF1a3UoYRYoZbQOa9HyqXpQtA5rPy6oUCixs5GKQVy8mfWHS56v3rQF8TBbcNXZTX0e5hAvg2tiTJzH411gepOOpmNLm3hZygtzqYsfzaxsY819-vxCt0PKxNh/s1600/DSC_0302.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Q404dUK9hYKuT1Wr8PmF1a3UoYRYoZbQOa9HyqXpQtA5rPy6oUCixs5GKQVy8mfWHS56v3rQF8TBbcNXZTX0e5hAvg2tiTJzH411gepOOpmNLm3hZygtzqYsfzaxsY819-vxCt0PKxNh/s320/DSC_0302.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5672094421725769762" /></a>I attempted to make a pull string pinata. May was SO tired I felt kind of bad she didn't show much enthusiasm for what she was opening. Funny story though. Her Aunt Katherine (it was from the whole family but come on now we all knew who was the brains behind the operation) gave her a Strawberry Shortcake movie. I was trying to explain to Maylie who it was from and I think she thought I was saying she needed to give it to her. She was so worried. She started inching behind our TV stand and she hid it and just kept pushing it back farther and farther so it was hidden. And then after cake was over my mom said she had gotten out and kept saying, "Is this mine?" "Can I keep this?" So funny. She also got an easel from my mom and dad which she loves. I think trees everywhere are legging out a sigh of relief since we don't go through a ton of paper everyday for all her drawings. Now she has a white board she can draw then erase. </div><div><br /></div><div>My favorite part was the cake. Which if it weren't for the super talented Caytee Wankier's help would have been a muddled up mess with a pony on top. It was such a good learning experience. I loved it and Maylie was so excited.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6ZYA0wBFsn09eJrpA2kEYFTLxOrV0Eg8YGQWiHGMqGrH6t0m4nUklPc753pZTbc-NtXOxWpYauMs13LhvQD55tdYpGclP7WsgBMU5Cmjn_-SA_RYYz31vMQJ0qXMCV6AZGdqHWsvnolEk/s1600/DSC_0299.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6ZYA0wBFsn09eJrpA2kEYFTLxOrV0Eg8YGQWiHGMqGrH6t0m4nUklPc753pZTbc-NtXOxWpYauMs13LhvQD55tdYpGclP7WsgBMU5Cmjn_-SA_RYYz31vMQJ0qXMCV6AZGdqHWsvnolEk/s320/DSC_0299.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5672094412047686050" /></a>She LOVES singing happy birthday. She has some play cakes that she will always set up for a party and then sing happy birthday to whoever she decides to sing to. So I think when everyone was singing it to her she was ecstatic. She was even singing along. Overall I think she had a fun birthday but hated the party. She is definitely a kiddo that likes the calm and small groups. Next year we may have to find some other fun way to celebrate.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLPoffj9ikN4Ne3EGSw-FoER961MZ1K-85YG8iKK7kxUsrotWbEXruXYSNuQSyjHRHAw6sY7yp0WqYU1QYTi-nMEUNzaRJouOrdKyVmLQFy3qb0qTBxMIebM_3D6gx3vznL8CIF9oK4RKJ/s1600/DSC_0348.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLPoffj9ikN4Ne3EGSw-FoER961MZ1K-85YG8iKK7kxUsrotWbEXruXYSNuQSyjHRHAw6sY7yp0WqYU1QYTi-nMEUNzaRJouOrdKyVmLQFy3qb0qTBxMIebM_3D6gx3vznL8CIF9oK4RKJ/s320/DSC_0348.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5672094401269357106" /></a>She had her check up she has jumped from the 10th percentile in weight to the 40th. She is getting cut off from her whole milk though both in quantity and in fat so it'll be interesting to see if she stays in the 40th. She screamed the entire time at the doctor's it was so sad. </div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway I'm so lucky to have her and I am thankful for everyday I get to spend with her. She is such a sweetheart (with a side of stubbornness and she wouldn't be her father's daughter if it weren't so). She is so smart and hilarious I get such a kick out of her. She can roll over from her stomach to her back going one way. Apparently in all things she is not an ambiturner. She is doing awesome on sitting up by herself. She does great as long as she is focused straight ahead of her but when she starts turning she gets wobbly. Her primary goal in life seems to be to get everything possible in her mouth. She especially loves paper and wrappers.<div> She loved baby food at first but in the past week or so seems to have developed an aversion to everything except cereal. I've been making my own baby food so perhaps my terrible cooking is carrying over into simple things like steaming veggies and blending them. </div><div>She loves to be held but not necessarily cuddled. She has to see what's going on around her. She seems to be a little shy when people start talking to her she will bury her head in your shoulder and then turn to look at them again and then repeat. It's too cute.</div><div>She has given up the binky. She basically just likes to have it so she can chew on it. She rarely sucks on it anymore. I'm kind of glad but it did make bedtime so much easier.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeinsj8h3CIfnagdBbZWJKybao65XSr2ZGGpqTFIVqHq3jhd124ytbZGZmxdH5mSI2LvUR2c2LwZleoeobYm1jNjtCfomJP8-bB2otpFwaTkqHvSI19ZNL954Ck5WS5xN6_ZmZJpKnA0Sp/s1600/DSC_0145.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeinsj8h3CIfnagdBbZWJKybao65XSr2ZGGpqTFIVqHq3jhd124ytbZGZmxdH5mSI2LvUR2c2LwZleoeobYm1jNjtCfomJP8-bB2otpFwaTkqHvSI19ZNL954Ck5WS5xN6_ZmZJpKnA0Sp/s320/DSC_0145.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670945218474409314" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px; " /></a>She has had her helmet on for a few weeks. She has to wear it 23 hours a day and she gets an hour off so we can wash it and it can dry (seriously washing it does not good it's stinky no matter what). She has already had 2 sore spots so far so she has had a few days out of it so they could heal. She has a hard time sleeping it. However there is already a noticeable difference in her head and she is turning it both ways with no problem so it's doing what it is supposed to. I just hope this is the last big thing the poor girl has to deal with.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi27vGil18V4h65WXjVgbOpgYqc57JXOgXxJ7F9OiqlzMh3bdO0Nbss45zQBwDXTjPavNfK6wIDhelTNQw4Zu6OLmAUTqi9H7Utu0Za_8NqM0jm6a64dUkm7l2y2Zu8g2K8ZESq4dfy5NF3/s1600/2011-10-25_12-14-07_301.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi27vGil18V4h65WXjVgbOpgYqc57JXOgXxJ7F9OiqlzMh3bdO0Nbss45zQBwDXTjPavNfK6wIDhelTNQw4Zu6OLmAUTqi9H7Utu0Za_8NqM0jm6a64dUkm7l2y2Zu8g2K8ZESq4dfy5NF3/s1600/2011-10-25_12-14-07_301.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi27vGil18V4h65WXjVgbOpgYqc57JXOgXxJ7F9OiqlzMh3bdO0Nbss45zQBwDXTjPavNfK6wIDhelTNQw4Zu6OLmAUTqi9H7Utu0Za_8NqM0jm6a64dUkm7l2y2Zu8g2K8ZESq4dfy5NF3/s1600/2011-10-25_12-14-07_301.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi27vGil18V4h65WXjVgbOpgYqc57JXOgXxJ7F9OiqlzMh3bdO0Nbss45zQBwDXTjPavNfK6wIDhelTNQw4Zu6OLmAUTqi9H7Utu0Za_8NqM0jm6a64dUkm7l2y2Zu8g2K8ZESq4dfy5NF3/s320/2011-10-25_12-14-07_301.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670945203212244498" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px; " /></a><div style="text-align: center; ">Her favorite person in the whole world is Maylie. Goodness summer sure went by fast! We've had tons of fun this summer here is what we've been up to in no particular order... We've been swimming lots and jumping on the tramp in the evenings when it's cool. We've spent lots of time with friends and at the park too.<div>
<br /></div><div>We went to the Zoo with my mom. Maylie was terrified of the dinosaurs and didn't really want much to do with anything. She loved the carousal, elephants and the pizza. Okay seriously the dinosaurs were lame. Why even spend the money on them?

She has started to take a little bit of an interest in toys which has made her less fussy in general I think. I think a lot of her fussiness comes from the fact that she is a cat napper. She rarely takes a nap longer than 15 mins. She's a great sleeper at night though. She is still in a little bed by our bed. She doesn't sleep well in her crib and I'll be honest I might cry when I actually move her out. She loves to stare at the fan and can usually cure her of anything that might be bothering her. She cut her first tooth about a week ago but it was her bottom canine which is weird. She loves to talk. If you talk to her she will just coo and grunt back it's the cutest thing. </div><div>
<br /></div><div>She has been going to physical therapy. She won't turn her head to the left. The resulting effect is she has a really misshapen head. She will be getting a helmet towards the end of September. Poor girl just can't get a break!</div><div>
<br /></div><div>We had her blessing and it turned out really nice. Thanks to everyone who made their way out to our house to come. I love this picture. We are constantly trying to get May to look at the camera and when she is we are all looking somewhere else.

Zach went in late to go the the parade with us and then got off early so we could play a little. He played soccer and catch with May she loved it. I'm so grateful Zach has a job but I wish he had more time at home to do stuff like this.

Wow we are getting to be so old. However old he is this picture will attest that he is still just a kid at heart. We've had lots of fun having Nerf wars. He took his birthday off and we went and did some family sealings at the temple. It was really special. Then that afternoon we went to Nickelmannia. It's Zach's and Maylies favorite place. Maylie loves DDR.

May loved it. I thought it was adorable too. It has like the fairy tale princesses but not the commercialism of disney princesses and the festival has their own princesses who do cool stuff and not wait for princes to come save them. I love this picture she May looks like she is just a little southern belle or something. It's cute.

We are still working on potty training, she went all day yesterday with no accidents woot! This afternoon however she has decided she wants her diaper back on. Oh well it'll happen one day. I switched her to cloth diapers and she hates them. I'm hoping it will encourage her to wear her undies. </div></div><div>It seems like she has been picking up on church things a lot more and I love it. When she sees a picture of the temple she'll say "Look mama, a temple, I'm going there someday." and when she sees a picture of the prophet she says, "It's the prophet he knows the way!" So funny. She still won't go to nursery and Zach teaches the sunbeams so it's made the last 2 hours a bit difficult- if I only I had 4 hands! She will go sit in Zach's class sometimes and she does a little bit better so I wonder if once she is in sunbeams she won't have such a hard time.</div><div>She has been obsessed with My Little Pony these days which I think is good. Anything to give us a break from princesses ;)! She also really wants to play soccer and go to school. </div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-25878165429886494692011-07-21T11:18:00.000-07:002011-07-27T17:03:02.111-07:00Potty TrainingMaylie had the funniest moment this morning. I'm sure reading it will not be as funny because you can not watch my daughter prancing up and down the hallway but I just had to record it. We are still working on potty training but in the last week May has made leaps and bounds. She wears her underwear for about half the day. <div>So this morning she had her underwear on and she had an accident on the couch. She told me that she still needed to go potty though. So I took her upstairs sat her on her potty with a book and told her I would be right back. A couple minutes later she comes squealing with excitement out of the bathroom. "Mommy I peed in the potty! It's a BIG one. Mommy come upstairs and see. It's BIG!" I can not even explain how excited she was and she just kept telling me. "Mommy it's a BIG pee!" </div><div>I walked upstairs not expecting there to be anything in there because I had just cleaned up a huge accident there was no way she had anything left in her. I was right there was no pee but she had an enormous poo in her little potty. This is the first time she has gone number 2 in the potty so I was just as excited as she was. I told her at this point she didn't pee she pooed and we took care of it washed our hands and I gave her a surprise.</div><div>Then I let her call Zach. "Dada I went a big poo in the potty. It was so BIG I got a big surprise." And all morning she's been talking about her BIG poo. Too funny.</div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-2090150943976994752011-06-21T12:50:00.000-07:002011-06-21T13:30:00.343-07:002 & 3 months<div style="text-align: center;">Camille is 3 months can you believe it? The long NICU days are long behind us and she's sure proving she can grow up just as fast as her big sister has. Her adjusted age is 1 month though and she acts more like a 1 month old than she does a 3 month old. She is starting to interact with things around her like you can tell she is interested at things she is looking at and she is startled by noises. When Maylie talks to her her eyes get really big. It's so funny. She is also awake for maybe an hour or so during the day (apart from the time that she is eating and pooping). She likes to be held and I wish I could hold her all day but unfortunately she spends most of her time in her bed. She's a really good baby though. Even when she is fussy it's like she is fussy but she does it quietly because she feels bad being fussy. Anyway she's a doll.</div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi09MxNyBNn8rKon5KZPCxqIhji7Ci2ge_PtzpB_sRnsd9QgG-AfOUGM4Cbc-s94f5MZiNftEJLqARX16niPG7xar7TJiW5aSYCRdREixO7S4n96oPwa2kJODM28C1-uMrygwhizVewIyTX/s320/DSC_0047-1.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620764802199807170" />Here is her and her great-great grandmother. She came to our house to see her and I forgot to take a picture and couldn't believe it. So we went braved the kids and went to great-great grandma's birthday party so we could snap one. I don't think a lot of people have a great-great alive so I think it's pretty special.<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ4ttRTvbrHnVGW38CzhcZ6pfD14PObhTWhim8nB1LdWTIf8V3Er-s4M6OhoGJlDJcJHdPOXZ-mnc0boJh9ezozyyEh3cUH7AWoSXjWr1DHLLw58YcYDrKeVjirQ1XA_9CRsUo466LrjXr/s320/SAM_0217.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620764809348624786" />This is her- "'I'm about to spit up all over you" face. <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDex1zeaVuW_XdL_b4G593RtNivJxEPuGjGKLRk_mEgGfP5X2VESU94qfTDac2KkhrbTyyVjB50boSzQ-pFlbIY71SilOEiY2SIZEjXEPlZBTrW9u8I8PvNs2kZF6q629XndA46gQZTIFi/s320/SAM_0224.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620764805820803810" />Here is cute Maylie. She looks kind of like a robot in this picture but for some reason I decided to take pictures of her while she was eating and this was the only one where she wasn't sucking the food out of the bowl. I tell ya I have the best kids. Maylie is such a help. When Camille was born we were having to put her in time out a lot but nowadays she is such a good listener and does what we ask usually the first time and if not then before we count to 3 :). The only exception is when it's time to leave her cousin Kamrie. She gets so sad and throws a fit. Her hair is long enough for back pig tails which honestly I'm in love with. Her imagination is so much fun. It cracks me up the things she thinks of and the little adventures we go on.<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaApiDhDqki6MIKFIDo1rm2FPVKEpASKAzOPBMtCweBvQ6FkCsqRHkNJbf1oBS5_q6R9r0WQOeMLmaaopIRHX1HIv83CIKOKLleMQWVE9ou8h1C2BJRUPnqCbze5RzI9kmbmun6X0I9IKY/s320/DSC_0064.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620764816040202562" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">So 2 kids has not been as bad as I was expecting- which is good because I think I was expecting the worse. I'm still terrified to take both of them to get groceries. Our first experience "out" was at the aviary. And everything was going fine and I was thinking, "taking two kids out isn't as bad as I thought." ...until it was time to feed Camille. I went and found a bench away from everyone and I sat Maylie next to me with a handi-snack. Camille still can't eat well under a blanket so I'm not as covered as I probably should be when I feed her-I'm over it- but I'm sure the people around me aren't. Anyway so I'm a bit indecent and this peacock comes up and see's that Maylie has food and he keeps inching closer and closer. Maylie starts crying and trying to climb over me to the other side of the bench. I'm asking her what's wrong but between her crying and her full mouth I can't figure out what she's saying. I finally figure it out probably exposing myself like 10 times because I'm trying not to drop either of my children. I get May set up in the stroller hoping it would close her off from the problem causing bird but he just came over to the other side and kept inching closer and closer and would not be shooed. May is terrified and has a total melt down- Camille is crying because she's trying to eat and her food source keeps getting ripped from her mouth. And I'm sure the 8 year old boy who walked by at this point is scared for life because he saw my boob. So I close up the milk shop buckle Camille in and we basically sprint to the exit. I turned on the dvd player in the car and finished feeding Camille in there and then we went home all very frazzled. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">None of our following trips to various places have been bad at all but I'm still scared. You can't just leave the store when you have a cart full of groceries so what do you do if a peacock is wandering wal-mart and decides he wants your kids lunch?</div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-32902006878005877912011-05-16T16:19:00.000-07:002011-05-17T13:22:33.602-07:00Some Thoughts1. How did anyone learn how to do anything before google? Seriously I never ever would've known that there were so many ways to kill ants, make meatloaf, and use fabric scraps.<br /><br />2. Speaking of google- yuck. I was putting together an FHE for tonight and needed a picture of a chick. Apparently that's a bad thing to google image. I did find a chick but also saw the nastiest picture of a fat lady (I mean whale fat and probably can't move) naked blah. Why does that even come up and who thinks of that coming up when they want a picture of a cute fluffy yellow chick?<br /><br />3.I hate Wal-Marts 1 hour photo. The pictures are like looking at someone with too much make-up on only it's the whole photo.<br /><br />4. I really really want to paint May's room and the playroom. The neutral brown color does not do the bright home decor any favors.<br /><br />5. I weighed myself today. I'm 13 pounds heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight- no wonder I'm busting out of my pants. It's crazy that I was pregnant longer and had a bigger baby the first time around but weighed less than I did before I was pregnant and this time around gained more. Although I'm not so sure that most of that was not from eating peanut butter eggs during Easter. I need to find an exercise I like to do. I would love to try Zumba but that would require a baby sitter which makes things too complicated for right now. I'm thinking maybe jump roping!<br /><br />6. I've had 2 facebook friends in the past 2 months put up labor updates in their status updates. LABOR updates? As in, "I'm now dilated to an 8." How are they doing this? Shouldn't they be busy with...I dunno...birthing a baby!?!<br /><br />7. Parks and Rec has surpassed the office for my favorite show. And I was so excited for the Will Ferrel guest star and it was definitely not all it was cracked up to be. Too bad. I'm voting for Jim Carrey as the next boss but Zach says he heard it was Will Arnett which could be pretty funny too. If it's Raymond I quit I'm not watching he drives me too crazy.<br /><br />8. My wonderful husband has been working so hard on our lawn and it still looks terrible. Zach says I have to be patient-I hate being patient.<br /><br />9. How do you wash a newborns front portion of neck? It is the stinkiest part of them and the hardest to get at. Probably that's why it's the stinkiest part.<br /><br />10. I am loving this nice weather. Seriously why does winter ever have to come?Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-90970931227573902362011-05-08T14:47:00.000-07:002011-05-08T15:10:57.080-07:00The GirlsWhat a perfect smile in this picture. Neither daughter was terribly coopertive with these pictures. Maylie would not look at the camera and Camille kept putting her hands in front of her face, they must be sisters!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5599326793543793938" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpK2RPPb1LLZQF1CH1TQkNnlyP00b6CmvL6vYsBKLPts5YvMkgYrCIkbci4N45xwtllaVv8pjo_dpkFoWlMA5qQCpKrKxvUqxN_YJ7pmrbCjEjwv9xkYU8l1qoIZvJqG4mP16wY2gLWeDx/s320/DSC_0025-1.JPG" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEdES1FZPguXlH0LJRfPpSMVOpqcX4O2rZHRE8v1RBzjb3ueg0mblSpSo4HF8AT0w_VIM9bVXyRA3L7AS9cwzksJfpeHn1h4h48GraAImJGbyYP-muL89N1jU_Yq9AbsW0bxl-JMKay627/s1600/DSC_0101-1.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5599326804104223794" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEdES1FZPguXlH0LJRfPpSMVOpqcX4O2rZHRE8v1RBzjb3ueg0mblSpSo4HF8AT0w_VIM9bVXyRA3L7AS9cwzksJfpeHn1h4h48GraAImJGbyYP-muL89N1jU_Yq9AbsW0bxl-JMKay627/s320/DSC_0101-1.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-47834169444083371272011-04-18T20:08:00.000-07:002011-04-18T20:20:51.390-07:003 weeksI'm sure you will get tired of these updates but this is as close to journaling as I get so it must be done. Camille made some huge strides this week. She had her first bottle. She is taking 4 feedings orally every 24 hours. She is out of her isolette and in a regular crib. She reached 4 lbs woot! She had her first bath. They give them swaddle baths- I wish I had known what this was when May was a newborn it was great! She seems like such a sweet natured baby but I'm not there all the time so maybe she's super fussy when I'm gone. Either way she's adorable.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-KRkLfNOVi9T1PWQtekTloJtpSI8LdVVZ4lr01xr-2aZDb0pU1iJ9pYY9nDr6qiFf5E5Ar7_AIodWyIeTh5IMg6F05-W4noKyMhoSG1G6KyPywRjnsXTs8q05_QmpzVbQB8QDRIm_YoRx/s1600/DSC_0107.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5597126898203764498" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-KRkLfNOVi9T1PWQtekTloJtpSI8LdVVZ4lr01xr-2aZDb0pU1iJ9pYY9nDr6qiFf5E5Ar7_AIodWyIeTh5IMg6F05-W4noKyMhoSG1G6KyPywRjnsXTs8q05_QmpzVbQB8QDRIm_YoRx/s320/DSC_0107.JPG" /></a> We've had our primary nurses for most of the week which I gotta say makes all the difference in the world. I hate getting an obnoxious nurse. Story time. I thought that I would make a video for May showing where we go to see Camille how we wash our hands at the sink. Camille's room at the hospital, the milk that I pump at home and take there and then show her Camille in her crib and one of us holding her. I thought it was such a good idea and you know thought, "Wow, good job mom." Our nurse sent home a coloring book with us after we told her what we were doing. Well I showed May the video and she loved it-but then I showed her the coloring book. In the coloring book it shows a little girl washing her hands at the sink-just like dada did. Going to the babies room at the hospital-just like mama did and holding the baby just like we both did. After that she started saying how she wanted to go to the doctors and wash her hands and see baby Camille. So I told her, no I'm sorry you can't go. So then she started saying how we needed to go to the doctor and wake baby Camille up and bring her home. So I had to tell her again no, I'm sorry you can't go. She was SO heartbroken. It was the saddest thing ever. So then I felt like the worst mom in the world for ruining her sweet ignorance. Poor girl. It's just a testament though about how excited I think she'll be when Camille actually gets to come home. <br /><div></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-37192322894222659442011-04-11T14:17:00.000-07:002011-04-11T14:54:28.339-07:002 weeksI love love love my two little girls. They are such sweethearts and I feel so blessed to have them in our family. I can't believe my baby is already 2 weeks old-at the same time I feel like it's been a life time of being at the NICU all the time. It's been so hard for me to have someone tell me when I can hold my baby and how long I can hold her. And knowing that it's the time I can hold her and having to wait until a nurse gets a second to come get her out for me. It's frustrating. I'm glad I get to at least hold her though because I know some babies can't be touched at all for a while.<div><br /></div><div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFyZBrsql3C7WZpvfx_2vAk3-AEwQxVSt9V7yD1m3mmzFT2Wb4-Z7GAOXtSn8uXC9RFcxTIQIco6gCx38JNZNJZK_1vTRFjeqscYBch_Ben6mCdkBgZg94zlBA40Nrq5dPmTi_49lhScES/s320/DSC_0024.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594439593837328402" /><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Her isolate. <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGPlv3Mx_jXdYWCWcXM3cx3A10VeS1vKH3UEisyD9rEgfcVHWcVBwL8lD65B0N8YXN3fIfGbKxTcGvtKSRcRSGWdPV5804qASvXAWg62r6S2oINCqIyyVDCBZeaja_o7Uu2jCIG7mEr-kq/s320/DSC_0010.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594439587421405042" /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij4QNrJQOT80SuFtGHdd5wxiWSnXBMp3v3rmANFK6Ev1olQnS4vmJqCyKjUgbeI4IMYJ1uboVlnOlD0yiC5XJkTO4LTBKcqG9BT4CULsXjD2UT-NEna9Tk6eBoSumbStwZu0fZmlqbXWb1/s320/DSC_0011.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594439265294458930" />Stretching out. She is usually all snuggled and tucked into that little bed thing at the bottom. The orange tube in her nose is the feeding tube and then everything else on her is just measuring her heart rate and oxygen. <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicd51cafa49sVsFU0JqT_vGZJPaKAmcCsWGquk_E4M4hUTAxqLmCtdnhyjjKhllE_nTmhxMtffAOis2W_Mum0BYU2I-9uKoLCHkiwcVGWILmdfhfIpqFAXRUX_0JCu4Lqh7fPyYi2lqB5_/s320/DSC_0037.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594439898610256034" />Her cute little feet. I was looking at some newborn size shoes someone gave us when May was born and I laughed because Camille would be able to fit 4 of her size feet in one shoe.<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSYmoArXp9FeHis657m7G12cR9hNVT0iwS1cDoPG2s_42ed8TxRWNO0z8PJnBgEwqhUuFXez0ZWekeF55rTPzkTlnRJVaRJYLZpV8oS-cdUC5-i0WzhCa0PoxRJ-rfDknz9FBB9g2_Hh5c/s320/DSC_0028.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594439603627656146" />I adore this picture. I was trying to wake her up so she could try to eat. We've been doing non-nutritive breast feeding for about a week (I pump before she tries to eat so she doesn't actually get anything). But Saturday they let me try nursing her for real. She did ok the first time but was just really sleepy. Yesterday though she ate like a champ and even burped. Go Camille! The nurses say that around 36 weeks (the measure in gestational age at not her actual age) most babies kind of stop eating because they go through a huge growth spurt and just want to sleep. Hopefully she keeps up the good eating.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg1s1Uc31TiqmJdY35Tzj0DpVTVHT22IYK_J67WQNQ35sDGoJgRmsx_dMB1iDIUnOMpEodYUllollYjhDIXobvIMJTEoaf0PWGclRY29TK5BKNUwWDIp276b7zgtrK6xc5DzbKLR0TFwcA/s1600/DSC_0042.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg1s1Uc31TiqmJdY35Tzj0DpVTVHT22IYK_J67WQNQ35sDGoJgRmsx_dMB1iDIUnOMpEodYUllollYjhDIXobvIMJTEoaf0PWGclRY29TK5BKNUwWDIp276b7zgtrK6xc5DzbKLR0TFwcA/s320/DSC_0042.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594439903289804818" /></a><div style="text-align: left;">Zach, the proud Dad. He is so sweet with her I just love it. This is only the second time he has gotten to hold her. She looks big to me in these pictures but when you are holding her you feel like you're going to lose her or break her because she's so small.</div></div></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">We are doing well. Our whole family is exhausted in every form of the word but we have lots of good people taking care of us. My mom and sister-in-law have been watching May. I don't think she's minded too much she loves going to play with her cousins and to see grandma and grandpa. I am so impressed with our ward and how great they have been when most of the people don't even know us. It's been really nice. Also, I have been so thankful for all the positive little messages our friends have sent our way. I must shout out to Caytee (and Preston but I'm sure it was mostly Caytee). She made the cutest little things for Camille and she brought us a dinner, and cookies, and drove it all the way up from Provo. Thanks Caytee! One day I will be super awesome like her. This whole experience has made me want to be more Christlike and more concerned about others. Thank you to everyone who has been such a good example to me and how I should strive to be these past two weeks. I love you so much for it!</div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-22106691674345321552011-03-31T13:59:00.000-07:002011-04-02T18:21:08.687-07:00CamilleWe had our baby. Camille was 8 1/2 weeks early. I started having contractions Saturday night and I was timing them but they were all short and very sporadic. I went to bed and woke up a few times because of contractions so I called the OB in the morning and she said it sounded like I was having a lot and they were close together so I should go into labor and delivery. The thought really had not crossed my mind that I was actually in labor I just thought it was false labor. I had an epidural from the start of my contractions with May so I really had no idea. Anyway, I told Zach just to go to church and teach his lesson and when he got back we could head to the hospital and I could get checked out. By the time he got home around 12 I was in so much pain and having constant contractions. So we headed to the hospital we got there at about 12:40 they took me in and checked me and I was dilated to a 10. Camille Gwen <span style="color:#000000;">Scholes</span> was born at 1:10pm 3lbs 4oz 15 inches long. We didn't really get to see her for a while they took her right away through a window into the NICU. P.S. about the labor- Although doing it "natural" was oh so painful I would take it over a C-section any day. I can't believe how much faster the recovery was and how great I felt after the labor was over. She is doing really well so far. She is breathing on her own except for some caffeine because she forgets to breath. She is taking her feedings through a tube but is handling them well so far. (May I just mention I feel like a cow milking myself every 2-3 hours. Zach thinks it's funny too.) She'll be in the NICU for about 8 weeks. I've gotten to hold her twice and both times have just been great. She is such a doll. I can't wait for her to come home. It's so funny how she shouldn't even be here yet and I haven't had her home at all but there is suddenly this huge piece that is missing at our house. Every nurse and doctor we've seen has told us that she is feisty and that that is a good personality to have in the NICU. I will be interested to see if she keeps that personality as she grows up. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaVg5L6N4qz_vPHPiTKWOSCebBhUfiO17c9ZzBdh5nLo0lLmr69nM5nNbu-qiNzMOb7imNpVZaqLTQRCG54RsqbTtmzje1nb8RiIjBTWquvMicrm5t2abB9gE7wa0Vb3hsVVcSl8MppMO8/s1600/SAM_0161.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5590352232915217602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaVg5L6N4qz_vPHPiTKWOSCebBhUfiO17c9ZzBdh5nLo0lLmr69nM5nNbu-qiNzMOb7imNpVZaqLTQRCG54RsqbTtmzje1nb8RiIjBTWquvMicrm5t2abB9gE7wa0Vb3hsVVcSl8MppMO8/s320/SAM_0161.JPG" /></a> <br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPREEHWJ1v9WNEkRBepy3zCBT6o-xyVFpl2nTygp51ef2VK3cm4WjAgezjDPkJCwc17B-s9ucqdnt8Zn7ROs5D7JVBwvl-h0dO9kjwOEI_XPlUZqAEqJN1H1ZVhXp1emraXxnRYYSm9h3H/s1600/SAM_0158.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5590352223233017714" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPREEHWJ1v9WNEkRBepy3zCBT6o-xyVFpl2nTygp51ef2VK3cm4WjAgezjDPkJCwc17B-s9ucqdnt8Zn7ROs5D7JVBwvl-h0dO9kjwOEI_XPlUZqAEqJN1H1ZVhXp1emraXxnRYYSm9h3H/s320/SAM_0158.JPG" /></a> <br /><div>May won't be able to see her until she comes home. We've shown her pictures but she thinks they are "baby May May". She has been such a trooper about being dropped off and left so much. I do think she realizes something is going on and I think she's acting out a little bit because of it. Hopefully once we are on a bit of a schedule she'll do a little better. And I'm sure as soon as she sees Camille she is just going to love her and be oh so excited. We've gotten some big sister books at the library and she loves to look through them and point to the older girls and call them May May and then point out the baby sister.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>We have had such great support from our family and our ward. It's going to be a long 8 weeks (Actually we are almost down to 7 wahoo!) but I think we're going to be just fine just because we have such a strong support system. I feel so blessed and so greatful to Heavenly Father for giving us such amazing people to look out for us. I am also greatful to him for how well Camille is doing and I know she's being watched over and helped along her way.</div></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-82124355141828461622011-03-12T13:46:00.000-08:002011-03-12T14:12:08.039-08:00May's Darling DadaFirst of all, can I just say I am quite content with life. Seriously I cannot think of any other way I could possibly be more blessed...her is my beautiful little girl to prove it!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDo7THxPExoHZPVT9zT8nTQmM7UkdUIU1FtmwPwEQ8BZpRM65ctOS9K6OxQENxKg_geqmin6Z2UPrWB8DX1i2jZ2Bx_2UPKjWhDITFmSnTcg_8X1bF1QO-BBhOr09iM8U7KGYN7vCAkl3S/s1600/SAM_0133.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5583314679046699058" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDo7THxPExoHZPVT9zT8nTQmM7UkdUIU1FtmwPwEQ8BZpRM65ctOS9K6OxQENxKg_geqmin6Z2UPrWB8DX1i2jZ2Bx_2UPKjWhDITFmSnTcg_8X1bF1QO-BBhOr09iM8U7KGYN7vCAkl3S/s320/SAM_0133.JPG" /></a> When May was born she was a total Daddy's girl. She would be so good for him and still cry and cry for me. Somewhere a long the way she changed to a Mama's girl but that didn't last long because Dad is definitely the favorite.<br /><br />My favorite part of the day is when the garage door opens and May jumps up from whatever she's doing and starts yelling, "Dada! Dada!" and she does her little running in place thing that she does when she gets excited. Then she stands there at the door and as soon as he walks in she runs to give him a huge hug. It's the most adorable thing ever.<br /><br />Zach has always been a good Dad but I think he was a little lost in the newborn-baby stage. I tell you though he shines with May. It is <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">just</span> so cute to see them together. He'll chase her around for tickles, play princess with her (he will even put on the tiara-what a guy), does puzzles, and always gives her lots of snuggles.<br /><br /><br />Here is one of May's favorite games- "Hello-Goodbye" which Zach will play with her until she gets bored-which is a really long time!<br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5583314662119999090" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU1TQyawujRG3mX3sVShMAhBX43w4K_3Miq65tPmBeRwmS3mwId3fqh9bQdFGzNaFhPcGIyH9jXay6xBhT5EpCL_ZPdqvma7a20ydTXdoBiNbAInrSvalz4McwZYx56-VkuJBTV11sTn_c/s320/SAM_0141.JPG" />We found an old cowboy hat of mine and Zach has been teaching her to say, "Reckon so." and "Get along pardner." I love when I'm doing something and I get to hear them giggling uncontrolably from the other room. I love seeing them snuggle up in the blanket together for a movie. I just I love how much May loves her Dad and how much he loves her. I hope they always keep a close relationship.</div><div> </div><div>The pregnancy is still going..well it's just going. Only 2 1/2 more months! I finally have a big enough belly that people who don't know I'm pregnant know I'm pregnant not just fat. It's a comforting feeling. But I don't think I was this big with May until the end of month 8 so I'm not sure where else this baby is going to go. I need to get some pictures taken. I have none from the first pregnancy and I'm so sad I don't. I just need to remember to take them when I don't look like I haven't showered or slept for days.</div><div>My back pain is still at a high but it's managable. I've been having dizzy/lightheaded spells. I think baby is just sitting on something like an artery or a nerve or something and thats why I'm getting them. My doctor wants me to go see a neuroligist next week though. I don't know if I'm going to go. I don't think it's neurological and I don't want to go to this doctor who will make up a problem just so she can feel like she can do something to "solve" it. I dunno we'll see.<br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div></div></div></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-16841379240613137692011-02-15T13:38:00.000-08:002011-02-15T14:17:42.267-08:00Some LoveHave you seen those Valentine backpacks that have been all around blog land? They are adorable. I love the idea. Unfortunately I haven't the craftiness, time, nor energy to make them. BUT! I found these super cute mailboxes in the dollar bins at target that serve the same purpose. I put them out at the beginning of February and we've been putting stuff in them every day. May's I put treats, dollar store toys, stickers, etc. Zach's I filled with treats and coupons.<br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574035627563381426" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDJYGB13EVMP9h9JdLB2tONwdP6Os5gLY47zeqCeWzIPF3QLs6OJaRi-bROB13Tfk0Q9fW9Wk226WSSe6MDyM8k4qYVCpYtXyxJfBZEUb4AWxqvnd0j0Q9yX5NkGQJwRUKLiZFDYg7sDxp/s320/DSC_0071.JPG" /><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Maylie</span> made some valentines to put in Zach's. I think she painted herself more than she painted the valentines. I think we are going to have to make it a tradition at our house. I actually bought 4 mailboxes so we can use them for a few years.</div><div> </div><div><br />Here is our new house! I love love love it. Do you love the big porch? I <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">certainly</span> do. Everyone that has come over asks if we are going to repaint our door. It is pretty beat up so yes, we are going to paint it but we are going to keep it the same color. We both really like the blue and if we paint the door a different color that means getting up to those shutters and painting those too-which isn't going to happen.<br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574034755240027954" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_jI-_Q2Fp0TtzgMQwhdJWL3oeXVSRokMAbeRVgU_H3w-nGZHoBgl1sKWzhlM7QYxvhOpFTlG_vWkRH_KCwEwaMJaNPOFrCG5isHC8361YxMnzgSqXG24vDVsp_3UfzzSSLGde8Et3Degr/s320/DSC_0032brush.jpg" /><br /><br />We are unpacked except I still have things to hang up. I don't know where to put anything! So I have a big box in my otherwise empty living room with our frames still in it. One day I'll get to hanging.</div><div> </div><div>I only have pictures of "the girls'" bathroom today, and only because I wanted pictures of the things I've done to it so far. First of all in our apartment we just had one bathroom and I had a big board that held both my jewelry and May's headbands and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">hairclips</span> but here we had to part ways so I needed something else to put May's clips on. This little number took about 3 <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">mins</span>. I just picked ribbon of different colors and widths tied a knot at the top glued the heart on and hung on it on the wall. Voila, no messy drawers.<br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574034772332317666" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnJFj8xb3BPfbdiXTCrbXrrcOPXvueFoZEWgZPbHGW4fATl-LMqxuYa7ThTVlQyIq2FZRiylSTaabQKPQyxX3r49cBC-GpOdyLV2acrMgemJmc2II_KawRUbCAQFg-PvAEqNMt7BNIKUdo/s320/DSC_0059.JPG" />Here is the rest of the bathroom. I wanted something <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">girly</span> but wasn't into the whole Ariel shower curtain. So I bought the heart rug. It's Target's valentines thing but I don't look at it and think Valentines so I thought it was <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">ok</span>. The trash can, toothbrush holder, and canister are all different colors found on the rug. The shower curtain is just yellow and I cut out some foam hearts and tied them on with string. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574034757098003890" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9Znvw0g_pN4Bcihv9oojfoJtyYZIaGdDHttPOw8QBAHrk-kyWvEcKwVQelqAfFVKOmtKQgmGfp2_14HUxFLyXet-Y3-SiaU6vfAc2NV2L7F_pqy2uHUR_lsH1XYUgGVKaINXGpsJFr6Sl/s320/DSC_0050.JPG" />I like them. I might redo them one day the colors don't match as closely as I wanted but it works. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijAokHgOFFyQJrkLjAy1nUQbMp66haMbMt0c1sRiljTv01MwfP0DQHoteruX_-ELAHz_q7iZqKvzbcGRFQFpgNslGwMyw1csoMt5Oa9hVSU1fVRoFUzI7PR_BubsYcuRFfGEwuZP82-RoH/s1600/DSC_0051.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574034762294760258" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijAokHgOFFyQJrkLjAy1nUQbMp66haMbMt0c1sRiljTv01MwfP0DQHoteruX_-ELAHz_q7iZqKvzbcGRFQFpgNslGwMyw1csoMt5Oa9hVSU1fVRoFUzI7PR_BubsYcuRFfGEwuZP82-RoH/s320/DSC_0051.JPG" /></a><br />I'll have to get more pictures up as I get things done. The Robert's closest to my house is going out of <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">business</span>. Boo <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-error">Hoo</span> says I. There is a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-error">Micheals</span> pretty close still but I dislike them I will greatly miss the Roberts. But on a bright note last week they had 75% off their merchandise and this week it is 90%. I got some killer deals...Like a $70 <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_9" class="blsp-spelling-error">cricut</span> cartridge for $7 Yip!<br /><br /><br /><div>Baby is still doing well. I think we've definitely decided on the name Camille. Although we are debating spelling. I kind of like it with one 'l' so Camile. Zach says people will say it like Ca Mile, I have much more faith that people aren't that stupid. We need to find a middle name still though.</div><div> </div><div>When I was pregnant with May she would get the hiccups all the time and I thought it was so cute. This time around my baby still gets hiccups quite frequently but since I'm carrying her so far back I can feel them on my spine- still so cute still-but oh so painful! </div><div> </div><div>I think May is kind of understanding that we are going to have a baby. She calls the other bedroom "baby sisters room". We have the crib sitting up there not put together and she goes in there and says "Oh no babies bed broken" and then I tell her it's not broken Dada just needs to put it together. And then she tells me "Help Dada. I fix it." What a sweetheart huh. I also have some clothes out on the floor and she calls them "babies shirts" so she is realizing it's for someone else besides her. She loves when we see babies and I keep telling her we are going to have a baby at our house soon and she just says "<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_10" class="blsp-spelling-error">Ok</span>". </div></div></div></div></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-76050258629458693002011-02-01T12:25:00.000-08:002011-02-01T13:01:37.043-08:00The world according to MayCan I just tell you how much I love this age. I know it's supposed to be the terrible twos and yes there are some major tantrums involved but I just love it. The following are some of my favorite things May says and or does.<br /><br />When May wants something to go fast, like her car or mama to run down the hall with her, she says "Allegro!" <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">courtesy</span> of watching too much Little Einsteins.<br /><br />She loves to sing "Once there was a snowman" I of course can not catch it on camera to save my life.<br /><br />When she sees the moon she says, "Look Mama moon, I <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">taka</span> (can't) reach it. too high!" She says about the same thing with the mountains but they are too tall.<br /><br />Last night after <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">FHE</span> she was flipping through our gospel art book and she came to the picture of <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">Nephi</span> with his family on the boat and there is a boy next to <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Nephi</span> wearing just cuff links and she says to me, "Look Mama, <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">nakey</span> <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">nakey</span>! Needs a shirt." Ha, yes indeed he does need a shirt. I'm glad she is developing her sense of modesty early.<br /><br />She rarely calls a car a car they are usually either trucks, buses, or race cars.<br /><br />The other day I asked her if she was stinky and she said, "No May May not stinky, Snow White stinky, need diaper change."<br /><br />She has a ton of books memorized, I can't believe her memory. Anyway, it is so cute to watch her flip through the book and basically be able to tell me what the page says, again another thing that I must catch on camera but can't.<br /><br />She "helps" me cook dinner and do the dishes. She loves to stir things and when she does it she says "stir stir stir" as she goes along. The inflection in her voice is the best part if only I had an inflection typing keyboard.<br /><br />When we go out to eat when the waiter comes to ask what we want to drink, without either of us saying anything she screams out, "CHOCOLATE MILK!" at the waiter in sheer delight.<br /><br />She loves to play "bedtime" which is ironic because she hates the real bedtime. She'll make me (or whoever she has roped into playing with her) "turn light" lay down and she'll tuck you in and give you a kiss. It's so sweet.<br /><br />She said her first prayer (that is, she said her first pray) by herself the other day. "Dear <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-error">faer</span>, thank you, <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-error">pease</span> <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_9" class="blsp-spelling-error">bess</span>, Jesus Christ, AMEN!" What a doll, completely melted my heart.<br /><br /><br />She is starting to be more particular about what she wears. Below is an outfit she picked out yesterday.Watching her pick it out cracks me up. She has a few hats but only likes her purple hat. She also has several butterfly hair clips in under her hat. The green shirt was chosen because it has a teddy bear on it. The vest (which she calls a coat) because it has pink hearts. The skirt-well that's obvious why that is an obvious choice right? My favorite part though is the heels. They were hand me downs from her cousin. I haven't actually let her wear them anywhere but she loves to wear them around the house and will usually insist that I go put on a pair of heels as well (I do not comply just in case you were wondering-I love my daughter but I draw the line at wearing heels around all day for no apparent reason). Anyway she thought she was all ready to go outside and play in the snow and was quite upset when I told her no, I don't think so.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHSEBcW1IxwCjnS87aw0X3RTKX-PgDNwpPVXZ2ZGvvVh9dpCWOex-m8BUnfec-PjkhxV3DoznIBfJBY88Rl2DsVto19Jg_OYQwFe3g911ymI3F-gid1JyD9GAjIPRb45Kmz4V9yA0ipzmt/s1600/IMG00008-20110131-1105.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568820093206920770" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHSEBcW1IxwCjnS87aw0X3RTKX-PgDNwpPVXZ2ZGvvVh9dpCWOex-m8BUnfec-PjkhxV3DoznIBfJBY88Rl2DsVto19Jg_OYQwFe3g911ymI3F-gid1JyD9GAjIPRb45Kmz4V9yA0ipzmt/s320/IMG00008-20110131-1105.jpg" /></a><br /><div> We are all moved into our house. Pictures to come once it's a little bit more put together. I love love love love it. We feel so blessed to be here. I will admit there are a couple things I miss about being in an apartment, like a maintenance guy coming to fix things instead of Zach having to take his precious hours at home to do it, our best buds right next door, and all of us being within talking distance no matter where we were. But we are all loving the space, loving the quietness, and loving the feeling of something being ours to work on together. We went to our ward on Sunday, everyone seemed really nice and May actually stayed in <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_10" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">nursery</span> and was having lots of fun when I went to pick her up (which is huge news). </div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-79328299123246140092011-01-12T11:36:00.000-08:002011-01-12T11:51:02.433-08:00Surprise!We found out the gender of our baby this morning. I was so sure it was a boy because of how different this pregnancy has been but nope, "<span style="color:#6600cc;"><span style="color:#000000;">Surprise mom and dad</span> I'm a girl!"</span> Hurray!<br /><br />I must admit I'm a little relieved. I know that every kid is different but there has to be at least some familiarity in having a girl compared to a boy. Also, with just taking on the responsibility of a house it's comforting to know that we won't really need to buy new clothes and things which can be a big expense. A couple people have asked me if Zach is disappointed about not having a boy, no my darling husband is not afraid of being out numbered at our house. He did say if we had a bunch of girls and this was our last try for a boy he might be a little disappointed but just a little. I'm sure May is going to love having a little sister to dress up and play princess with and...maybe boss around a little. ;)<br /><br />Everything looks really great. If you have talked to me in the last 20 weeks you will know that I am having some serious back pain. We found out today that it's because of where baby girl is sitting (which I kind of already assumed). But I also found out that it's actually a really good thing. I had a c-section with May and I guess if the baby grows close to the scar the placenta can attach to it and there can be some big problems.<br /><br />We're excited!Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-20836786184783699642010-12-31T13:52:00.000-08:002010-12-31T14:31:30.743-08:00DecemberWe had a great December. First of all I had my birthday which was great. Zach made me breakfast in bed and let me sleep in (the best gift ever). We also celebrated our 4th anniversary I can't believe we've been married that long! Unfortunately, someone kept Zach late that night so our plans to go to Nicklemannia were foiled but we enjoyed a nice dinner anyways. <div><br /></div><div>The real fun of course was all about Christmas! Zach found a place to fit our tree in-I honestly didn't think it was possible but he did it. May had lots of fun decorating and undecorating it and redecorating it through out the month. She loved telling me all the colors of the lights this year. I think she REALLY loved it because it was put up in her time-out corner- this made time outs pretty minimal because there really is no where else for her to go. As soon as we took it down though she went and put herself in the corner-I guess to make up for missed opportunities.<br /></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiTmIpe3ETz5xCsrprKkPa8Baf_n4RQ-zG1yG1iPQ0xlsC0KnSUoEGmZ628LK53g8NoHcWtw-cEB6MwdGuMIgCjfhjvIuXbWd6LYprJG1lItJfzGBQnd5lc4A3mgClUhwy1Sg2O6LKlFXC/s320/DSC_0012.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556970511388270738" />We made gingerbread houses and watched the first presidency devotional for family home evening one night. May actually did pretty good at putting the candy on the houses- except for her treasured m&ms I think those mostly ended up in her tummy.<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_jNPMK3bKc6sHws5XyZTEwUj3nx6kCWVcJ7Yjx3phyphenhyphenHtiX7xGiN93u9_hc5IP1zh15OjWTmTs-s7MZLlUuuQY4CAx1o83S3ZgelrBjzr8CvlimB_mrhKHxzeYxF7HpUDgvqey2SNEY2rI/s320/DSC_0028.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556970514031815906" />Remember this picture from last year? So I got a sub for Santa thing that was a girl who wanted some shirts. So we went to the mall to get them and May really wanted to ride the train. I told her next time we come back Dada will come and we will see Santa and then ride the cho cho train. "Ok mama." I get home and realized I didn't pay attention to the size of one of the shirts I got this gal so I had to go back to exchange it. Before we were even parked May said, "Mama cho cho train!!" and I had to say, "No I'm sorry next time Dada will for sure come and we will see Santa and ride the cho cho train." " Pease mama pease." "No not this time, next time." "Ok mama." I felt so bad. So then we finally made it to the mall with Zach the Tuesday before Christmas it was packed. We honestly would've been in line for 3 hours so we decided it wasn't a big deal if Zach wasn't there for the pictures and I would just bring May back in the morning when the line wasn't so huge. But then we went to go ride the train the person that drives it was just leaving on break so we would've had to wait for 1/2 hour to ride it-we decided that wasn't worth it. Poor May May, "No cho cho train? Please cho cho train." I felt so so so bad. She was so good though she didn't throw a fit at all which made it even worse. Anyway so we went back the next morning and just before it was our turn to see Santa the train drives by and I think May had just had it she wanted to ride that cho cho train. So she started crying for the train before she even sat on Santa's lap. So we might have had a smiling picture this year if we had driven our poor daughter to tears by telling her she would ride the train and then not riding it. Anyway here is her all smiles on the train.</div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmtyaWmApBDQHIawVt1YzzqPJoG-WorxdHL32LbnC5Cn-AVUS1QboFxFMlBWSv9ORLq82RxIKmCc3TYUAnzjfk4eyMsu4o89BB431JxZDTR4j4S8TRQ9LJuWEL5jMBfLndX0u1FJhGo9-6/s1600/SAM_0074.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmtyaWmApBDQHIawVt1YzzqPJoG-WorxdHL32LbnC5Cn-AVUS1QboFxFMlBWSv9ORLq82RxIKmCc3TYUAnzjfk4eyMsu4o89BB431JxZDTR4j4S8TRQ9LJuWEL5jMBfLndX0u1FJhGo9-6/s320/SAM_0074.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556970528629374818" /></a>Zach's family had a great Christmas party. We ate lots of yummy food. Zach's mom had everyone play a pass the present game, May didn't want to play with the kids so she passed the extra adult present. Then Zach's mom read the kids "The Polar Express". Zach's step-dad dressed up as a train conductor and surprised all the kids with his train whistle. May's eyes lit up it was so cute.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRZ9T3GoiYtIZJFIe3BeD5z9xTKXCpGtaJiwYUjYgoUdYx17Xg1YTSPwlhpCYFeeBJTDLASn16OuKJ2FRr60K8y2HcNiwBobxzbChIxNGoRPkawk4VJzYCQLOqMDnk9gv5tVViJhN9hyqi/s1600/SAM_0058.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRZ9T3GoiYtIZJFIe3BeD5z9xTKXCpGtaJiwYUjYgoUdYx17Xg1YTSPwlhpCYFeeBJTDLASn16OuKJ2FRr60K8y2HcNiwBobxzbChIxNGoRPkawk4VJzYCQLOqMDnk9gv5tVViJhN9hyqi/s320/SAM_0058.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556969572598381714" /></a>Christmas eve we spent with Zach's brothers and dad. My mom buys us matching shirts every year and this year she got us army shirts in honor of my brother. She painted a custom painting for me that I gave to my parents for Christmas. They loved it! Check out her website <a href="https://sites.google.com/site/eliseenghart/">here</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div>May's favorite presents this year were her bike and her kitchen. She walked out and saw her bike and said, "Oh! May May's bike!" and climbed right up. It's a little big for her and she can't quite peddle yet but she has until summer so I think it'll be fine. It was actually warm enough Christmas to go try it out. Zach is such a good Dada helping her. Aww.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVepDoWqy6QpdPYSJWaTGpe1w0fCHJDBXnesxBhyzpMrxmeKSVjTe631qNYiqyIp2-VTLKoQRF3Zv8b3Ug6kx0kOUKyCaTAxwEVh3sMsbBbBdRb7SCBaLSm8LwXUtOgXD1zIDUCH0rALqA/s1600/DSC_0243.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVepDoWqy6QpdPYSJWaTGpe1w0fCHJDBXnesxBhyzpMrxmeKSVjTe631qNYiqyIp2-VTLKoQRF3Zv8b3Ug6kx0kOUKyCaTAxwEVh3sMsbBbBdRb7SCBaLSm8LwXUtOgXD1zIDUCH0rALqA/s320/DSC_0243.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556969558868011266" /></a>My parents got her the kitchen and my mom bought her dishes and food to go with it along with a cute hat and apron. But I have some exciting news... drum roll please...<br />We finally got a house! Can I get a woot woot?!?<br />This is the house we have been waiting for. It is by far our favorite one that we have looked at in our few years of searching and really has everything we wanted. My favorite parts include the large kitchen with plenty of cupboard and pantry space, the media loft to keep all the toys in, more than one bathroom, a wall that is purely bookshelf, a 2 car garage for poor Zach who has let me have the covered parking space for 4 long years, and the thing I'm most excited about (which really is quite sad) a back yard to let the dog out in. That's right. No more tramping out in the snow in my PJ's with the whole complex watching, and no one can fine me for not picking up the dog poop right away. Not to mention not having to deal with other irresponsible people's dog's poop.<br />Hurray!Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-53505273208753205902010-12-02T12:28:00.000-08:002010-12-02T12:58:53.689-08:00Hurray for BabyWe are pregnant! Hurray! Due at the end of May. I'm 15 weeks and time has just flown by.<div>This pregnancy has been oh so much harder than my first one. I'll spare you the sob story details but everything about this pregnancy has been painful or at the very least annoying. And I'm only 15 weeks!!! I've gone to a water aerobics class a few times and it seems to really help my back. My wonderful mom is giving up her evenings to come baby sit for me. May and I are so lucky to have her!</div><div><br /></div><div> I know a lot of people say their girls were really easy and their boys were really hard or vice <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">versa</span> so we're thinking it may be a boy. Also it would be terribly convenient if it were a girl due to the fact that we already have everything we need and we have already agreed on a girls name-so doesn't that automatically make it a boy??? Guess we'll find out in a few weeks.</div><div><br /></div><div>I must share one experience for my own <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">journaling</span> purposes. This was planned but as soon as we knew we were pregnant I think Zach and I both kind of went, "<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Hmm</span>, why did we decide to do this again?" First of all I've been so miserable and on top of that I was worried about how we were going to pay our deductible, worried that we aren't going to have a house by the time it gets here and will have no room for it, worried about neglecting May or being a bad mom to her because I'm so tired from being up with the baby, worried that this baby is going to be so much harder than May was, and worrying that I am not going to love this baby as much as I do May. I just wasn't excited or happy about it at all. This of course made me feel bad for being such a terrible mom to this baby inside of me that we have been blessed with.</div><div> When I went in for my first doctors appointment and they did the ultrasound and listened to the heartbeat I just felt this overwhelming feeling of peace. I know this baby is being sent to our family now for a reason and that we were right to try for it. I know we are going to love it just as much as we love May. I know May is going to be a great older sister. I'm still worried about the other things but it's not consuming me like it was before. I am really excited now and can deal with all the pregnancy aches and woes for this little one with a good attitude (even if it doesn't show to the outside world my inside feels better:). </div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-373139188915731252010-11-29T15:38:00.000-08:002010-11-29T15:43:00.909-08:00Festival of TreesMy amazing mom and I (and my Dad did all the securing hard stuff) decorated a tree for the Festival of Trees this year. Holy cow! Lots and lots of work! My mom said next year we're just going to buy a tree :)<div>Here is our tree it's a Snowman can you tell? It's hard to see in the pictures but he has lots of little snowman ornaments all over him. It's definitely not the grandest tree but everyone told us it was "cute" and "creative" which I think is pretty good.</div><div>Here is the info for the festival be sure to check our tree out! http://www.festivaloftreesutah.org/File/View/9de9a937-0a3a-4214-9ac6-ccc2d42026d0 <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglO7vFNowHM4LrbUNJkvVn5u-WVL6riIcNUfakfkWvV-Y1WYRU8Z2MK8T2GELyFt7mm3Bihh3Hn5-QqAPB9sHaynzW_LTkMO5dcmYgaTX1FSrlxy7kRSNXe-V1JSX-LQ9sSsUzaL9MCJTs/s1600/DSC_0022.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglO7vFNowHM4LrbUNJkvVn5u-WVL6riIcNUfakfkWvV-Y1WYRU8Z2MK8T2GELyFt7mm3Bihh3Hn5-QqAPB9sHaynzW_LTkMO5dcmYgaTX1FSrlxy7kRSNXe-V1JSX-LQ9sSsUzaL9MCJTs/s320/DSC_0022.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545120446425475810" /></a><br /></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-31872815240900212692010-11-24T09:42:00.001-08:002010-11-24T10:00:47.195-08:00A Nice MorningI rarely get an opportunity to just go out and take some pics with my camera. Sunday morning though I was taking the dog out and the trees along the back of our complex mixed with the sky were just beautiful! I was in luck because it was a Sunday so Zach was home and could watch May while I went out and snapped (what a good husband huh). I've always loved snow pictures despite the fact that I hate the snow. Since getting this camera I've realized the reason good snow pictures are good is because they are edited. It's good to be in on the secret. Anyway here are a few of the fruits of my half hour of quiet time with the camera. It was so very nice.<div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho6D2st3ayeJ1O429z74kRddA2x4CrhHWDjlM27cOpTahGlCGM2iXRTsjw9yMaJEFfBu7K_HIjuYMcABPW7iweD2O1INoBFp59E5vaD36l460fXFMavh4v0pfDkdbQXbLmKPeL1HHw-eO9/s1600/DSC_0030e.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho6D2st3ayeJ1O429z74kRddA2x4CrhHWDjlM27cOpTahGlCGM2iXRTsjw9yMaJEFfBu7K_HIjuYMcABPW7iweD2O1INoBFp59E5vaD36l460fXFMavh4v0pfDkdbQXbLmKPeL1HHw-eO9/s320/DSC_0030e.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543173581517496050" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4t8kLBNsd_aIedc9NXj557ZgjDOqyAPcNPxbpt2RKC4niJe_mdMDto4S8c9MNBZEC_yejLSbPNd_Mqsvj3M_nfjDmNbNo3XLmaIYcIausy87z_iWYFDniQS_shJ5YZ7nyp_LX3esNlCOX/s1600/DSC_0022e.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4t8kLBNsd_aIedc9NXj557ZgjDOqyAPcNPxbpt2RKC4niJe_mdMDto4S8c9MNBZEC_yejLSbPNd_Mqsvj3M_nfjDmNbNo3XLmaIYcIausy87z_iWYFDniQS_shJ5YZ7nyp_LX3esNlCOX/s320/DSC_0022e.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543173574209272866" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiYGJik2IrDKxtDjJFEFcJJqy1X1F5V773oGfu4E-HgruvmXNx3VCxCEfj-fxXcRrTMIQbuWcVtITcs4CdtpBSgfkfEfjeyeHc5w1zgTMm7fZcX4eDdCKxxlhI7Qf3Y3Lhm7-GfY8YEPlH/s1600/DSC_0021e.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiYGJik2IrDKxtDjJFEFcJJqy1X1F5V773oGfu4E-HgruvmXNx3VCxCEfj-fxXcRrTMIQbuWcVtITcs4CdtpBSgfkfEfjeyeHc5w1zgTMm7fZcX4eDdCKxxlhI7Qf3Y3Lhm7-GfY8YEPlH/s320/DSC_0021e.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543173561927688450" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrhJAbm2DmfXp2ioIsmeD11SuSZCQbWx9QE-I5PYPMGDagIaSaMPmvyhZVdBYtVGyDHLkyCRC_Fo1IhXZwGmGldylkvyjZjsruknvprvhqd0MWdHpJhurUKOZHSSXR44z-S8JtJeWZx8C5/s1600/DSC_0018e1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrhJAbm2DmfXp2ioIsmeD11SuSZCQbWx9QE-I5PYPMGDagIaSaMPmvyhZVdBYtVGyDHLkyCRC_Fo1IhXZwGmGldylkvyjZjsruknvprvhqd0MWdHpJhurUKOZHSSXR44z-S8JtJeWZx8C5/s320/DSC_0018e1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543173555192461314" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjoHVXKR4pOHciPXn2Q9KXlN7jHXmOjn6Jcpkicw_-ZJYV5h7ehmgYchl-Q4TT7vV3gshHiWGEn_TwU6cyw_eW1KsztEd2c4ArzjzmLh7YidjptQymfmWRbniM-WwbWbiqHxpKoj71iqbR/s1600/DSC_0017e.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjoHVXKR4pOHciPXn2Q9KXlN7jHXmOjn6Jcpkicw_-ZJYV5h7ehmgYchl-Q4TT7vV3gshHiWGEn_TwU6cyw_eW1KsztEd2c4ArzjzmLh7YidjptQymfmWRbniM-WwbWbiqHxpKoj71iqbR/s320/DSC_0017e.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543173550247086482" /></a>Do you see the little black dots at the top leftish middle of this picture? They're birds! I didn't even notice them until I was uploading and I'm like, "How did this picture get spots on it?" I wish I had seen them so I could've gotten a better picture of them. </div><div><br /></div><div>So...how about that "blizzard"? It was like nothing. It made me giggle in an annoyed way that all the schools closed down and people got off work early to get home. The reason for the annoyance is I still remember a few years ago (2008 maybe?) when there was that huge storm and it took me like 4 hours or more to get from Orem to Murray. I was actually even lucky to have made it home. If I had been about 20 mins later than I was I wouldn't have been able to go over the point of the mountain and probably would've spent the night at a church in Lehi somewhere. Worst drive of my life. Anyway, they didn't cancel school or work that time and it was way worse! Zach got home about an hour early though so I guess I can't complain to much.</div><div><br /></div><div>My brother flew in last night for Thanksgiving. The army let them go home for a couple days if they paid their own way. I'm glad we got to see him another time before he ships out. </div><div><br /></div><div>I can't believe that it's almost the end of November already. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the craziness of December! Zach has had us listening to Christmas music for a couple weeks now. It makes me happy because it's the only time of year he sings along to songs at the top of his lungs. </div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-19861515159495949492010-11-17T12:03:00.000-08:002010-11-17T12:20:37.403-08:00Disney On IceFor May's birthday my mom bought her tickets to go see Disney on Ice. She of course loved it. I was a little worried that she wasn't going to sit through it but she was totally enthralled. They had a bunch of their shows smushed in to one big one but the ones she knows were The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan (she just knows Tinker Bell but you could tell they were catering to the girls who only know Tinker Bell because she was pretty much the star of the Peter part), and of course Mickey and friends. She was most excited to see Mickey and Minnie. Which is pretty interesting because I thought she would be most excited to see a princess-but maybe she didn't realize the girl on the ice was supposed to be Ariel. <div><br /></div><div>In the picture she has her Mickey spinner which she has almost had for a week and she still looks for it when she wakes up. Also, please note the flounder bowl that the snow cone is in. Ask me how many times a day I've washed this thing because she doesn't want to eat out of anything but this. My answer will be far too many!</div><div><br /></div><div>For a couple days after we went May kept getting her shoes and coat and going to the door saying, "Mickey Mouse, ok lets go!" apparently she thought Mickey and moved in next door and we could now go see him anytime we wanted.</div><div><br /></div><div>We had a really good time-thanks mom!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVTJjb5LYxbOCRYjXgxGW2Kr-8keiqiYz_5TqO-KNaA3XV0C5mgOuoAibD8eKNw1EvtZH1migeObjSGM2Ep1_jhzfF5J1L-mkvTk3K6K_XbC2oYUmgkbjsDNhliYOlP3kfrSZF4gAXZCEi/s1600/Disneyonice.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVTJjb5LYxbOCRYjXgxGW2Kr-8keiqiYz_5TqO-KNaA3XV0C5mgOuoAibD8eKNw1EvtZH1migeObjSGM2Ep1_jhzfF5J1L-mkvTk3K6K_XbC2oYUmgkbjsDNhliYOlP3kfrSZF4gAXZCEi/s320/Disneyonice.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5540611933134436738" /></a>Okay camera savvy people I have a question. We have our SLR camera which I love love love. I find myself not taking it places though because it's big and I don't really have room for it alongside the kiddos necessities or because I'm afraid it's going to get ruined. But then I miss out on some great pictures that I really wish I had had the camera for. Case in point the picture below. It's taken on my phone because I didn't have my camera and there were some even greater shots that were completely missed because my phone is so slow. I'm kinda glad I didn't have it though because before this May took a huge dive in the mud and on my way to get her to the bathroom I was covered and if I had my camera slung around my neck it would most definitely have gotten kicked and covered as well.</div><div>Anyway, so my question is for those of you with nicer and/or bigger cameras do you just buck up and take them and how do you protect them without a huge camera bag or do you have a smaller camera you take places you don't want to take your nice camera? Seriously, please answer this question-I thank you ahead of time.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDTh6rO1UXwCEObSeOTfuitHpjwdtj7xHJJPg-508yt9yrVMDuxKWLXICI_Vgk348XgtqYrVA7PCp3OQeTjU_0AZwD3MVu1TvLRCwvpK65w8u-0Qxp4-syjFZBTos0hEMvh7eM22MMk5AP/s1600/IMG00098-20101105-1655.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDTh6rO1UXwCEObSeOTfuitHpjwdtj7xHJJPg-508yt9yrVMDuxKWLXICI_Vgk348XgtqYrVA7PCp3OQeTjU_0AZwD3MVu1TvLRCwvpK65w8u-0Qxp4-syjFZBTos0hEMvh7eM22MMk5AP/s320/IMG00098-20101105-1655.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5540611929847598626" /></a><br /></div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-53973214666303649842010-11-04T12:41:00.000-07:002010-11-04T12:55:42.784-07:00PumpkinsZach's family has a fun tradition of getting square pumpkins at Arctic Circle when you get get your pumpkins. So when Zach got off work we ran to the pumpkin patch close to our house to get some pumpkins. I'm a little sad we didn't get any cute pictures but it was dark and they were closing. Afterwards we got our square pumpkins. May was quite enthralled with the spiders that came with.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE9IZM4r315skfhaha-G5SVEeAOpAMolV85dOIZQmjobROB2QLYvKN2M_uogyHDAWrI_1rXbnZjFl9IjHXHLEBlvtEkBo10nYRYvhIYASfTq8LhZOUqPhqhU0DciJtySl4iSDLU7aLiPgb/s1600/1011001954.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE9IZM4r315skfhaha-G5SVEeAOpAMolV85dOIZQmjobROB2QLYvKN2M_uogyHDAWrI_1rXbnZjFl9IjHXHLEBlvtEkBo10nYRYvhIYASfTq8LhZOUqPhqhU0DciJtySl4iSDLU7aLiPgb/s320/1011001954.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5535783624625333602" /></a>We decorated our pumpkins a different day. I got some cute sticker packs from the dollar store that we used instead of trying to carve them. Zach refused to put stickers on his pumpkin and insisted he was carving his-but Halloween is over and it sits <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">uncarved</span> still. Not to worry though May pulled all the stickers off mine and hers and divided them up evenly amongst the 3.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh948Ri04rirC4bSq-m55jQ6B_M5KVj5zmSO2tJHdpqPKFIa7mlCRr1hY5v5S_YMEVulAWpZSoaibrEfiviUQ70i3rtdVtmb8vHYxoSYHBU5dFZJQiWAiFMuQHHNvxKmnm73R0_XyiBRq2J/s1600/DSC_0059-3.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh948Ri04rirC4bSq-m55jQ6B_M5KVj5zmSO2tJHdpqPKFIa7mlCRr1hY5v5S_YMEVulAWpZSoaibrEfiviUQ70i3rtdVtmb8vHYxoSYHBU5dFZJQiWAiFMuQHHNvxKmnm73R0_XyiBRq2J/s320/DSC_0059-3.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5535783620143006034" /></a>May loves pumpkins. It cracks me up. She spots them everywhere and when she sees the big stack at the grocery store she gets all excited and has to touch everyone. She is so funny.<div><br /></div><div><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Ok</span>, funny <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Halloweenish</span> story. I looked at costumes at target this week because they are on clearance for 50% off. They had a really cute Dorthy costume. We have our little black dog <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Goob</span>. And we are planning on having a baby by next Halloween who can fill the lion costume May wore last year. And then Zach and I can dress up like the scarecrow and the tin man. Cute right? Well May is super convinced that we bought Snow White's dress (she has no idea who Dorthy is obviously). She wore it around all day. I literally had to wrestle her out of it so we could go play at the park and as soon as we got home she put it back on. It'll be interesting to see if next year she realizes she isn't being Snow White...and how big of a fit she'll throw when that realization kicks in. It was just too perfect to pass up.</div>Dannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15272258981020976881noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538016797354517694.post-6587548823709996912010-10-25T12:03:00.000-07:002010-11-04T12:41:03.311-07:00May turns 2<div><div><div><div>May turned 2 can you believe it?!? Unfortunately her birthday was kind of lame due to sickness and doctors appointments. When Zach got home we took her to ride the train at the mall and get a smoothie (I refused to make a cake that would only have 2 1/2 pieces out of it-so smoothies it was).</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>We had a Minnie Mouse party for her on Saturday though and I thought it turned out pretty good. I got a lot of my ideas from <a href="http://atsecondstreet.blogspot.com/2009/03/handmade-minnie-party.html">At Second Street</a> but I changed a lot of them because she is way more creative than I am.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Here is her cute Minnie outfit. She is wearing this for Halloween too. I made the skirt (the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">tutorial</span> is in the link At Second Street) and the headband and then just bought her a pink shirt. And of course she is wearing her sparkly pink shoes-can't leave home without them</div><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532069889327443858" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyaV848HavwCR-FC7Rx7jb3x-7I6IyegaJvw6_IEPnHLxbaJRBZJMqCq1UGiG1ScUdPLOvWM3OcnB8Ki2oER5WUuYw-c3H4wFFmPllcVVZOEhEqEZL6KcnMNbGpp0M7P_EEhkAkyAVq2EC/s320/DSC_0101.JPG" /></div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Here are the invitations. It turned out WAY better than the crazy cupcakes last year. For Minnie's face I used a 10" round and her ears are 2 6" inch rounds. The <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">tutorial</span> is At Second Street but she takes you to the Martha Stewart website.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwEKPWA4G5JipZaOl9yxvcQTuSWGEdjh73tvUhcEzfgUSi0MOXPKWH8UHsNCMNf2pi0m0XROJFXlyC-IHUGrx_aj-IiiIEUmsVRb97_LbrLkNf84H-ac5ux5lOSXC8u-FDvvZeEiCrbbe2/s1600/DSC_0093.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532063766508852162" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwEKPWA4G5JipZaOl9yxvcQTuSWGEdjh73tvUhcEzfgUSi0MOXPKWH8UHsNCMNf2pi0m0XROJFXlyC-IHUGrx_aj-IiiIEUmsVRb97_LbrLkNf84H-ac5ux5lOSXC8u-FDvvZeEiCrbbe2/s320/DSC_0093.JPG" /></a><div><br />This is our <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">pinata</span>. The kids were such good sports about going in the rain to hit it. We don't have any pictures because cameras don't mix well with rain. We made the kids wear Mickey Mouse gloves ( you know the big squishy ones you get from Disneyland) so that it was hard to grasp the bat. Funny story. Morning of the party and I'm looking everywhere for the table clothes I bought and suddenly I realize that I probably glued them into the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">pinata</span>. Way to go. Everyone was a little confused about them when they came out.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Zach shaped the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">pinata</span> but I think he did the hard way. Check out At Second Street for the easy way. She also tells you how to decorate it this easy <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">peasy</span> way with crepe paper. The bow I sewed from material leftover from May's outfit.<br /><br /><br /><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB166-YOk7tjGeMiX-ZeOXZEVAUlTyQuzAvveI-HHRqqnOQJM_3q-IPVitScpu0PKlU61Z8ePb173t0d3F0aPTbVGQZdehQzVD1hygtxFuoeBKhcPNm13omaZm0B_DkXOGhduCMoexd_8l/s1600/DSC_0058.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532063761674296466" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB166-YOk7tjGeMiX-ZeOXZEVAUlTyQuzAvveI-HHRqqnOQJM_3q-IPVitScpu0PKlU61Z8ePb173t0d3F0aPTbVGQZdehQzVD1hygtxFuoeBKhcPNm13omaZm0B_DkXOGhduCMoexd_8l/s320/DSC_0058.JPG" /></a>We gave everyone a "<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_12">toodles</span>" bag that had <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_13">mouskatools</span> in them that we used throughout the party. For example-stickers and markers to decorate hats, blindfolds and tape for pin the bow on Minnie, candles for the cake etc. This will probably make no sense to you unless you've seen Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so go watch it and realize what cute idea it was. :)</div><div><br /></div><div>Here is everyone in their mouse ears hats. She got several princess things. Zach's mom gave her a Minnie card that sings Happy Birthday when you open it-guess how many times that was played throughout the next week. Below is a picture of her working on her birthday ball. My grandma doesn't wrap presents-she birthday balls them. You put everything in crate paper and as you unroll it you find lots of little surprises. It's one of my favorite traditions.<br /><br /><br /><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRdnt4VtAx8xcVHPS_PLxuJ17_kLyCbo5ILBwc86WbNul_gkVB_9D0vDa3r0QAQhpQiQcVU7sMz10PCG3QulyVA1i_GvlpFYaO5dxGKNaXE8RRk8SCuF6U8HaA4GmGPtssTp9_wA98zy8L/s1600/DSC_0179.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532063735358240034" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRdnt4VtAx8xcVHPS_PLxuJ17_kLyCbo5ILBwc86WbNul_gkVB_9D0vDa3r0QAQhpQiQcVU7sMz10PCG3QulyVA1i_GvlpFYaO5dxGKNaXE8RRk8SCuF6U8HaA4GmGPtssTp9_wA98zy8L/s320/DSC_0179.JPG" /></a><br />We had a great time.
