A Smile For Saint Patty

So I realize this is a little late but oh well. For St. Patricks day we had green eggs and ham for breakfast and wore some super awesome leprechaun hats. Maybear couldn't quite figure out what Daddy was wearing on his head.

We went to the Maybear's first Jazz game. She screamed the entire time we were in the arena so I ended up wandering the halls and watching the game on a tv anyway. But not to worry we may not have been able to be in the arena but we made it on the Jazz fan website check it out... http://jazzphotos.smugmug.com/gallery/7637629_KPBah#493821063_haHAG

While I was sitting on a bench I had one of those, "Wow, life is pretty darn fantastic." moments. Every time someone walked by they always smiled at Maybear. You have these super gruff men to the teenage girls that dress like hookers, to the little old lady who can't make it up the stairs. They all would smile at Maybear. Even though all these people probably have a ton of problems that they are dealing with a little baby still brings a smile to their faces. It really brought new meaning to Christ saying, "Behold your little ones." I can't even imagine what how it would be to have so many sweet little children, add to that angels, add to that Jesus Christ. I am so thankful that I have been blessed enough to have such a beautiful little girl. She really is a huge ray of sunshine!

Got Milk?

I'm supposed to be on a no dairy diet. Oi! It's way harder than I thought it would be. First of all I never realized the deliciousness of cows milk in cereal, really it's a taste that soy milk just can't beat. The real trying thing is I never realized how much I eat cheese. Most of the dinners that I cook regularly have a ton of cheese in them. Anyway, the whole point in posting this is to ask for help. If you have any good recipes that don't have any dairy ingredients please send them my way!

The Sad Weekend

This weekend was filled with bitter tears and disappointment. Okay, not really it was actually a really fun weekend but it would have been even better if the Jazz had won at least one of their two games but oh well.
Saturday we went camping. I set the tent up in the living room and after some run around to find an air pump we pumped up the mattress and played a good ol' fashioned game of phase ten in the light of the lantern. We roasted hot dogs on The Foreman and had smore parfaits (sounds weird but they were really yummy). We were going to sleep in the tent but after some deliberating we went to sleep in our bed. Who would really choose to sleep on an air mattress when there is a perfectly good real mattress in the room next door? Anyway I'm excited for when we get to actually go camping, hopefully it's soon!

A Little Laugh

I got a kick out of this. I don't know, maybe you have to have a baby in the house to appreciate it. Either way it's totally my new slogan.
